The International English Language Institute (IELI) is part of Hunter College of the City University of New York (CUNY). We have offered courses in English as a Second Language (ESL) since 1950. The IELI serves over 3,500 students per year, in courses ranging from beginner to Bridge-to-College. We enroll New York City residents, visitors on tourist visas, diplomats, and international students. We are authorized to issue I-20 forms.
